*NEW* 28"x8' 5000 psi Cyclonic Sand Trap mounted to an L- skid. Inlet, outlet, and drain are flanged 3" 2500 RTJ. PRV and Clean Out ports are 2" FNPT 9000# connections. Description of operation:

Effluent enters the vessel through a tangentially place inlet nozzle. The velocity instantly slows as the flow enters the vessel. The momentum drives the liquids and solids against the target wear plates which deflect the stream and starts the centrifugal motion. As the flow spins in the vessel, the liquids and solids are driven outward and downward and the gas inward and upward. The liquids and solids migrate over the internal shroud and the solids fall to the bottom of the vessel. The liquids follow, but then reverse direction and rise to the slots on the outlet pipe. Meanwhile, the gas rises to the top of the vessel and enters the outlet pipe. The gas and separated liquid re-combine in the outlet pipe and flow out the outlet. Solids are removed by manually "blowing" or dumping out the bottom connection. The tee on the bottom connection allows for high pressure water injection to aid in solids removal if desired.
